Kip Jones was born in Griffin, Ga, and eventually moved to East Tennessee and graduated from Jefferson County High School.  Kip has been in education for over 25 years as a teacher, school counselor, and coach.  He is currently a school counselor with Alcoa City Schools where he also helps coach the middle school football team and also the coach for the Alcoa Intermediate girls basketball team.  He played drums for over 20 years in his church worship band and enjoys music of all kinds. Kip”Mr. J” is also a National Award-winning children’s book author (Willie Bohanon and Friends) Power Series which helps teach kids life skills all over the country.  Kip is married to the lovely Chrissy (Zeiger) Jones who graduated from Maryville High School.  They have two grown children Jaxson (18) and Abby (22) married to Corey Palmer both are full-time Air Force National Guard.
