Ryan has worked for the federal government with the Mine Safety & Health Administration (MSHA) since 2005 and currently serves as the Field Office Supervisor for the Knoxville, TN field office. Prior to joining MSHA, Ryan worked in Atlanta, GA as a Materials Engineer for the heavy highway contractor, APAC, Inc. He is a graduate of the University of Kentucky with a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering and a minor in Business. He is also a licensed Professional Engineer in the Commonwealth of Kentucky.
Ryan is originally from Middlesboro, KY. He currently resides in Maryville, TN with his wife, Jessica, and their four daughters, Emily, Katherine, Lauren, and Ryleigh. They are members of Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church in Alcoa, TN. Ryan has served as the chairman of the property committee at his previous church in Middlesboro, KY and has also volunteered time with AYSO, Relay for Life, Repair Affair, and PRIDE. He enjoys spending time with his family, coaching AYSO soccer, hiking, swimming, and is a huge UK sports fan.
